Podcasting is an easy way to automatically download Track and Field Radio Show to your MP3 player through your Internet connection. Use free software to subscribe to the show; the software checks the internet regularly and starts a download whenever we post a new show! That means you can listen to a selection of programs any time and anywhere you like. Listen to them on the way to work, when you have a few minutes to kill or you're working out.

Here's what you'll need: a computer (PC or Mac), an internet connection, and (free) podcasting software. That's it! Follow the links on this page to the sites where you can get free podcast software (iPodder, jPodder and others). Install the software on your computer. Follow the directions to choose podcasts. The software will keep your favorites current and should transfer the downloaded podcasts to an audio player on your computer (iTunes, Windows Media player, etc). You can listen to your latest download on your computer - or when you synch your MP3 player the latest podcasts will be transferred and you can take WNYC everywhere you go!

RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication and it's a different way to get content from all over the web delivered to your computer. Instead of browsing the web based on sites, you save the feeds from the sites you like with an "RSS Reader" or "RSS Aggregator." You can then view regular updates from all the feeds together, or you can view each feed separately.
